Programs

Our Small World provides a safe, friendly, and nurturing environment for young children.  Concentrating on individual development and needs, understanding self-worth, instilling self-confidence, building self-esteem, learning socialization skills, and understanding cultural diversity is just some of what we work towards with our children. To learn intellectual, social, emotional and physical skills, children are provided rich learning experiences that are meaningful and relevant to their lives through active participation, exploration, and decision making.  These areas of development are interwoven throughout the child’s day to include music and movement, art, dramatic play, books, numbers and language.

Each class plans its activities to meet the Center’s overall goals. The daily activities differ for each age group and the emphasis of the programs is centered around small group interaction, with one on one learning, and large group activities for general discussions or music and story time.

In addition to our daily program, we provide a variety of additional activities that rotate throughout the year.
